Proceedings of the LINNEAN SOCIETY of NSW

The Proceedings of the Linnean Society of New South Wales has a distinguished publication record. It publishes primarily original research papers dealing with any topic of biological and earth sciences and focussing on the Australasian region. All papers are peer-reviewed and provided free on-line.
Contributions should be original and presented factually, with data in context with appropriate discussion. The contributions may be at any scale: species to communities, geological formations, notes, reports, research papers, etc. All contributions will be reviewed by usually two people with relevant scientific experience in the subject.
By submission of a manuscript, the author declares that the work is original, has not been published previously (unless as a short abstract) and is not being considered for publication elsewhere. The corresponding author confirms that all co-authors have agreed to publication in the form submitted and that all listed authors have made a substantive contribution to the manuscript.

Publication
From 2011 (Volume 133) the journal is published electronically via the University of Sydney Open Journal system. When a paper has been accepted for publication, it will be placed on the website immediately with consecutive page numbers from any paper published previously that year.
Submission
Recognising that such contributions may arise from a variety of sources (field studies, observations, reports etc), and that some authors may lack experience in formal scientific writing, the Scientific Editor and members of the Editorial Committee are prepared to assist potential contributors with their initial submission by providing constructive criticism of a draft manuscript (formatted as a Word document with separate figures and tables as appropriate). Intending authors are advised to consult papers published in recent volumes of the Proceedings for guidance. The full style guidelines can be downloaded in PDF here.
All manuscripts and enquiries should be addressed to:-
